Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Radda, has extended his Easter greetings to the Christian community in the state, urging for continued interfaith harmony and prayers for lasting peace.
In a statement issued on Saturday in Katsina by his Chief Press Secretary, Ibrahim Mohammed, Governor Radda conveyed his warm wishes to all Christians celebrating Easter, a holy holiday commemorating the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
He acknowledges the significance of the occasion and its message of hope and renewal.
Governor Radda stresses the importance of peaceful coexistence between Muslims and Christians in Katsina.
He calls for continued understanding and tolerance, stressing that both faith promote the values of love, compassion, and forgiveness.
The Governor specifically urges Christians to use this Easter season as an opportunity to pray for lasting peace in Katsina. He acknowledges the security challenges faced by the state and calls for unity in overcoming them.
“Together, as people of faith, we can defeat the forces of evil that threatens our communities,” Governor Radda said in his statement.
