Former Director General of Small and Medium Enterprises Development of Nigeria (SMEDAN) and governorship flag bearer of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Katsina State, Dr. Dikko Umar Radda, wants to give back to the society that has done so much for him.
The erstwhile Chief of Staff to the State Governor, Aminu Bello Masari, and one time Chairman of Charanchi Local Government is confident that he will win this weekend’s governorship election, given the overwhelming support the people of the state had been giving to the party.
Speaking on the rationale for the new leadership, he says: “Our people of Katsina State need development; need change and we are equal to the task and we must thank everybody in Katsina for supporting us.”
Explaining further, the famous philanthropist added that he looked forward to giving a very good leadership to the people of the state, while expressing gratitude to the Almighty for making it possible.
On the conduct of the gubernatorial and state house of assembly elections, Dr. Radda lauded the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for presiding over the process he described as “a very seamless exercise.”
Hear him: “I can see that the process is going on smoothly; there is peace in the polling station and I cast my vote – exercising my civic responsibility.”
